Subject: Decent show
A decent '86 show, but Jerry is off to the races with Terrapin. The whole song is sloppily played by both Brent and Jerry.

Subject: Wow...Brent...
I'm not sure what happened, but Brent is like a child banging on a piano throughout this entire show. Listen to China Cat...he is just hitting random keys and going up and down scales. Oh God, wait till you hear the China>Rider solo/segue! Brent also provides some ultra-stoned harmonies to the end of IKYR. I'm not sure if I even want to listen to Brokedown Palace. Hahaha!

At least pre-coma Jerry is mostly on-point. He rips an impressive solo through China>Rider, but Brent's random playing sort of ruins that...

Subject: Brent was Brokedown!
I'll give 5* for the Box>Visions of Johanna opener, but not for the entire show.

Listening to Brent during the encore, it sounds like whatever he was on that night had def. caught up to him by then!

Subject: Fantastic
This is such a great show. Honestly. If you like this era of dead this is worth the listen.

First set is worth the listen alone. The Box opener into a sickingly, sweet, up-tempo version of Visions will just slay you. Just a stunner. Classic conversational guitar playing and crooning from Jerry....he goes into the most grand chunky rhythm/ lead playing towards the end of Vision that is just pure nectar to your ears and soul. Classic Garcia. Big River is unusually smokin', even. Tweety bird effects Birdsong for the ages......Do not skip Lil' Red Rooster! Sultry, brazen Brent and his B-3 emotional exorcisms of sorts w/ Jerry and Bobby just buzzin' round the BCT hive. 2nd set does not disappoint. Not a highlight year in Dead history, but 1986 sure has some incredible shows here and there. This be one of em'. Thanks for the quality upload, Charlie Miller.
